Another really cool Etsy shop is Crafty Is Cool Crochet by Allison Hoffman. I had seen some of her patterns around and then saw them popping up on my Facebook feed. This woman is really talented at amigurumi. If you go to her Etsy site, she as 63 items for sale, and that is almost 100 percent patterns. OK, 98% to be more precise.
Her patterns run through a large range of pop-culture, from Golden Girls and Michael Jackson to Guardians of the Galaxy and Stranger Things. She has movie characters, TV characters, video game characters, music icons, and more. She also has her own website, craftyiscool.com.
So I’m highlighting some of my favorite patterns I’ve seen on her site. I have not, to date, bought and made any of her patterns, but the first one I want to buy and make is Emmett Otter and Ma Otter, pictured above. I did not grow up watching Emmett Otter’s Jugband Christmas, but my husband did, so I’d like to make these for him for next Christmas. And if you’ve ever seen it, these patterns are dead on.
Some others that are really cool are highlighted below. Check out her shop. She’s so creative and talented. I find shops like hers inspiring. Her pricing is comparable to pattern pricing I’ve seen for other things, so you’ve nothing to lose.

Buddy the Elf from Elf. Who doesn’t like Buddy?

An Ood from Doctor Who. I just love Oods.

If you’re into Stranger Things, she has some patterns for that as well including Eleven.

She has a pattern for the lovable Groot.

If you are into Hamilton, there is a whole Hamilton cast set available. I haven’t seen it, but I know it’s pretty popular.

I love the Where the Wild Things Are characters. One of my favorite childhood books.

And there’s the new Pennywise the Clown from It. In one of my crochet groups, a woman was complaining that this doll was creeping her out while she was making it. lol
