In April I will be going on a knitting trip to Scotland and England with Rowan Tree Travel with a group from my LYS Kid Ewe Knot. Since it will be spring, I decided to make a light beanie to bring along. I settled on this Paton pattern called Swirl Hat on Yarnspirations.
I worked this pattern up using my favorite Ice Yarns, I still have a bunch in my stash and have used it before in other projects (Crickets Infinity Scarf, Noro Windowpane Scarf , and Skull Scarf).
The pattern is rated Intermediate, which seems accurate. I was able to work this one up in a couple of days. I liked the fact that the pattern had a chart and a written pattern, very helpful. I worked this one up very loose because I have a big head and I added one more round of the main motif as well as some extra rounds of sc to make the rim curl up.
